Baseball fans in the Greenville, South Carolina area support the minor league Greenville Drive, the citys South Atlantic League team.

The Greenville Drive is a Class A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox organization. The team played its inaugural season in Greenville in 2006. The Greenville Drive plays 13 other minor league teams in the South Atlantic League (SAL), including Charleston, Asheville, Augusta, Savannah, and Greensboro. The Drive is currently in 2nd place in the SAL Southern standings, with plenty more games to play in the 2011 season. Since 2006 a number of talented Drive players have gone on to play in the Major Leagues.

The Drive plays their home games at Fluor Field at the West End in downtown Greenville.
